about the principal designer_______________________________________________________________________________
Fernando Trajcevski was born in France, in the early 70's his family migrated to Erskineville in Sydney's Inner West where he began education at Erskineville Primary. Moving to Newtown in 1975 he joined St Josephs Newtown followed by higher schooling at Christian Brothers in Lewisham. During his schooling years he naturally excelled in maths, arts, crafts & technical drawings which formed an early indication of his future career. By 1993 he furthered education in Architectural studies via the Associate Diploma, which detailed Residential and Non-Residential Design and Construction.

Early Highlights 1 - During full time studies with senior & experienced students in his class, a competition project of a new beach house on vacant land was required. The objectives involved, concept design, perspectives, artists impression, compliance with development standards and a strict budget. Fernando was awarded first place for the most functional and cost effective design for the subject competition.

Early Highlights 2 - Also during full time studies, Fernando was eager to implement theory into practicality, and did so by solely undertaking the entire design and project management of his parents home (pictured below) completed in 1995. Having experienced practicality at this tender stage, Fernando claims was to the foundations to transforming the theory of design into a functional form.
Living and working in Sydney's Inner West since 1973 he obtained valuable local industry experience with a Sydney Architectural practice, later joining a large Civil Engineering firm and furthered experience of large scale Commercial & Industrial Construction. Overseas travel exposed Fernando to appreciate international architecture and although developing a personal like for Contemporary Architecture, Fernando insists, “Instead of imposing an architectural period and or style, I aim to implement the individual needs & wants of my client, the site and the budget whilst applying Functionality, Appeal & Value.
Established his first company "Pacific homes by Fernando pty ltd" in 1998 which specialized in the design of Luxury Executive Homes. A subsidiary "A A Christian Design & Drafting services" was formed in 2003 specializing in smaller Additions & Alterations projects. The amalgamation of the two ventures gave way to Contemporary Home Design, established in 2005 which caters for all project types & sizes.

"Vision and Passion cannot be taught".
core strength's______________________________________________________________________________________________________
Innovative designs - constantly experimenting with shapes, textures and colours.
Excellent construction knowledge - equating to prompt on-site problem solving ability. Previous large scale civil works enabled Fernando to apply this knowledge in his designs which avoids structural changes affecting or complicating the design.
Building products understanding - up to date product launches, expos etc...provides appropriate application of products, saving on future maintenance costs.
Passion - when you become absorbed by architecture you notice every detail and psychologically dissect it's existence.
Accuracy & Info in the plans - Good design takes time and should never be left for a builder or tradesperson to do the guesswork of how it should be built. Plans must be accurate and descriptive or they can blow out the budget and result in undesired outcomes. Builders rarely need Fernando on site due to level of information & accuracy in his plans. In some instances new homes have been completed with Fernando only conducting a final inspection for the client. This strength alone more than pays for the fees that an experienced designer brings to your project.
